Fun 4 Kids on Track For Better Times - Following the loss of $593,000 recorded in 2014 there was some discussion about whether Fun4Kids would continue, however with the support of the local residents and council, the 2015 festival underwent a substantial rejig and was run on a much tighter budget. The tightening of the budget did impact on the number of high profile acts at last years festival (which did effect attendances), but for those who went, the general consensus was very positive so this years festival is building on the successes of last year. The committee are reporting that ticket sales this year are ahead of the same time last year with over 75 per cent of online ticket sales coming from outside the south-west and the committee are hoping that attendances this year will be close to 20,000. This year’s festival will include 17 different themed zones and more than 80 live shows across two stages and will include the Taylor Swift tribute show”, “Bollywood dance show”, “Splashdance show”, “How To Be A Rock Star”’ , the Star Wars themed “Live and Learn the Jedi Way” plus the ever popular Peter Combes “ Wash Your Kids in Orange Juice show”
No Wiggles, Dorothy the Dinosaur or Bananas in Pyjamas, but this years Fun4Kids festival will still have plenty of dancing, singing, comedy and fun activities including

Warrnambool’s Fun4Kids festival is quite unique as it is the only festival of its type in Australia and although there are a few other children's events around the country there is nothing of this size or scale and it would be a great pity to see the festival close.
It really should be far more successful than it currently is, as it has all the right ingredients for success. It is held in winter school holidays when there is no other children's events and at a time when parents are looking for something to do with their children. It is staged in an undercover venue protected from inclement weather and Warrnambool is an ideal location for the event. Warrnambool has a good public transport infrastructure plus a good rail connection to Melbourne, and Warrnambool has plentiful amount of inexpensive accommodation during the winter months making it more economical for families to attend the festival.
